Beautiful Bali

For our second international trip this year, after Namibia earlier, my husband and I chose to go to Bali. I always thought that I would do Bali as a girls' trip, but I'm soooo glad I decided to do it with my husband.

We traveled during peak season in July, and the weather was fantastic, we started our trip off at the Beautiful Anantara Seminyak, it was close to the airport, so we spent our first night there as our flight landed quite late. We then moved to the beautiful Anantara Uluwatu Bali Resort unfolds on a dramatic cliffside over the Indian Ocean. The terraced architecture ensures ocean views from every angle: Dine, swim, and Jacuzzi against a panorama of sunset at our Bali resort's luxurious Suites.

The cuisine to the hospitality was spectacular; the rooms were also quite large, with a fabulous balcony and view of the ocean.

On our third day we went to the spa,( See my Instagram story highlights) the Balinese spa was a definite fave, you guys know how much i love me a good spa! A Balinese massage truly is a highlight of any Bali vacation! What was also absolutely fabulous about Bali was there was literally a spa at every corner, so after walking for hours, it was convenient to pop into one for a foot massage, but book one at an excellent hotel to avoid disappointment.

We moved from Uluwatu to Kuta, I must say i didn't enjoy Kuta, the hustle and bustle reminded me too much of Joburg, I wouldn't really recommend staying there, we spent two days there and the moved to Seminyak, Listen if you're gonna do Bali this is where you need to be! The food the vibe, the people the beach aaaaaah it was everything I imagined Bali to be, We stayed at Anantara Seminyak which was close to everything,

Seminyak sits a little way along the coast from the famous Kuta Beach in Bali and provides a welcome alternative to its brasher and more crowded cousin. Seminyak has its own pretty beaches, and there is a feeling of more space here as the crowds that descend on Kuta are not as prevalent in Seminyak. As Seminyak has a beach, it also has some good surf, and you can also rent a board here and ride the waves or just stick to swimming or sunbathing. One of the main reasons to come to Seminyak is to enjoy not only the beach but also the amazing beach bars and cafes that run along the coastlines, and you will find a huge number of choices available, which means that you will never go hungry or thirsty here. Many of the restaurants have foreign chefs in residence, so if you want to try some fine dining, then this is a great place to do it.

One place that particularly stood out for me was La Plancha, Nestled in the heart of the Balinese landscape where the jungle meets the ocean, La Plancha opened its doors in 2010 and was the original (and the first) Chiringuito styled restaurant and bar in Seminyak. The brightly coloured, vintage-inspired structure was designed to bring something different to Bali.

And then lastly when on holiday drinks by the pool is always a great idea. And breakfast or brunch by the pool? Even better! But what if you had the opportunity to go one step further and have your breakfast in the pool? Yup! Say hello to the concept of a 'floating breakfast' – a popular offering in Bali where you can gorge on a satiating breakfast in your private pool while it merrily floats right in front of you. Presented in a large, sturdy tray, the floating breakfast is a complete morning meal, with a hot beverage, warm breads, and condiments.

We didn't get to see all of Bali so i would love to come back soon!
