Prepare for winter in modern layers, textural knitwear and refined outerwear.
A combination of vintage-inspired prints make winter feel new; while timeless, muted prints ground the collection. Highlight colours for the season include forest green, a fresh navy story and key winter neutrals in sophisticated camel, oat and charcoal tones.
True to Trenery tradition the collection favours uncomplicated pieces with a focus on quality fabrics including extra fine merino wool, pure silk, and cashmere wool blends.
Womenswear pieces to note are the knitted trench, modern carcoat and the Frida tote and for menswear the wool cashmerebomber, military pea coat and the woven jogger. The event highlight for the season will be a runway show held within The Atrium, Trumpet Building in Johannesburg. The runway will feature forty looks from the upcoming ranges and Trenery Head of Design, Jane Grimme will be in attendance to launch the show. The gallery space will also house a vast installation by artist, Liza Grobler entitled Seven looms incorporating Trenery extrafine merino wool. The work alludes to the many hands involved in creating a single garment.
Guests will enjoy hand-made, small batch natural wines created by Magna Carta Wine’s Mphumi Ndlangisa and an expertly prepared feast by chef, Vanessa Marx. Bespoke solid wood furniture by designer, David Krynauw will sit within the space and guests will be invited to sample. Guests will receive a travel scent from House of Gozdawa, crafted by perfumer, Agata Karolina, using natural essential oils, each sourced locally in South Africa.
